    Default The awesomeliciousness called NetBeans

Yes! It supports more than Java!

It supports Java, C++, Apache and Glassfish servers, and Ruby (Its like python, but its great for web development also)

Oh, and did I mention a great interface with the best GUI designing ever made? (Personal opinion, but once you try to make forms in NetBeans...)

One other thing: Did I mention its completely FREE? Don't go for a single language platform like the $2,000 Java IDEA, go for NetBeans!

So why don't you head over to the site's news page and download page?

P.S.: I actually opted for the whole suite of languages, because a Ruby/Java/C++ combo is awesome you know.

Lol, why download it when you can order the disk FREE. They'll send you the install disk free. It's pretty cool, took about a month to get mine because there was a high demand and needed to get production caught up. But usual is 8-10 business days.

Why would you wait for the disk when you could download it and get it instantly?

Some people have dialup, so downloading might take hours...

Hours is better than days, 'cept someone might call in that time. Lol. (I remember before I got cable, my mom tryed to DL this SQL server thing for work.. Took a week.)

I would rather download it though, only takes about another half hour. (I'm on a laptop, my desktop gets like... 100 megabits or more. But I'm also downloading some other huge things, like the Borland C++ explorer 390MB, and the Ruby base, 23MB <- almost done)

That "100 megabits" is your network speed not your internet speed.

I'll definitely download once I go to friends/dads to download hehe.

No, its my internet speed. It would be lower if my gross internet speed was slower, as the internet would be sending a packet saying "Hey! Slow down! I can't take all this information!" and it would throttle the speed.

But the DL speed is different. There is no cap on it, as long as the hard drive can be written fast enough.

Eclipse has a GUI maker, way better than NetBeans in my opinion, also Eclipse supports all those languages.

Nah... I think NB has a better GUI maker. So do the Java gurus like Ruler and (I think) solarwind.
