anyone know of a good one since i want to turn music like this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZWYUI54npA

    to something like this:

    http://www.uploadhut.com/id128837/Inspire MIDI.mid

    its kinda cool isnt it?

lyrics to Inspire are here : http://ayumi.primenova.com/lyrics/inspire.htm

EDIT: btw, if you can somehow speed the MIDI file up approx. 110% its own speed (i use vanBasco's player) the MIDI should sound better imho

Try decompressing the .mp3 into .wav and try converitng .wav to .midi? Only way I think it is possible.

You cant convert MP3 into MIDI. Its not possible. MIDI consists of instrument sounds made with the computer hardware or something like that. Its all instruments only. MP3 is ...well... MP3.

To make MIDI song files, you need to know how to play the song, and use a MIDI editor (like Guitar Pro 5 - not primarilly a MIDI editor but it is heaps good and exports to MIDI) to make the song yourself. Also if you use GP5 many people have already made .GP5 files of nearly every song, so you just need to download it then export to MIDI.

So um yeah...you cant convert MP3 to MIDI directly

    Lazy ass

Also FL Studio is good to make midi. No, you cannot convert an MP3 file into a MIDI file because midi only consists of virtual instruments which can be made on a computer, such as FL Studio.

ok, it is posibble, but it is hard as crap, seeing as the software would have to be able to seperate the instruments, and pick out their notes and rythems.

i have tried many many programs, even expensive ones, trying to get this to work. none do, they all fail.

    but it is possible.

Also, i sujest using finale or cubase to mess with medis once you have them.

    Ya. He nailed it.

If that was posable, everyone would use midi because the files are so much smaller, with still near perfect tone and pitch.

MP3. to MIDI is a different matter...
