How hard would it be to translate SRL into German? This would help because we could use scripts on the German servers. Any advice/complaints/suggestions?

I doubt this will be done because we would have to change very much and why have 2 different versions of SRL? Just useless...

I am assuming you are talking about making it compatable for the german rune scape.
translating the actuale code would be just a pain. and relativly useless.
tranlating the manual would be usefull, and just a simple google translate away
tranlating to work with the game would take a little bit of work. I'm not exactly sure what all of the dferences between the games are... but i assume they are relativly small, and limited to under 20 places.
because of the modulability of srl, and how advanced methods are based of the simple ones, it should really only take 20 modifications (of text, isuptext, mnabey some dtms, etc)
a pretty usefull project for someone who want to tackle it.

if you really wanted too... the revised version of srl for german could be merged with the origional version, and be based on a boolean

Also, only thing that I think would need modification, are all the game related strings of SRL for the bitmap masks for different functions, like ClickToContinue, also like all AntiRandoms' texts would have to be translated.
Do German and English RS look the same, get the same updates at the same time?

...No. SRL is just code to be used in scripts. There are no languages other than pascal that it uses. If you mean to translate the procedure titles (ex. FindTalk into GesprächFinden) that would be almost pointless.
For use in german worlds you would just have to mod scripts with the german alternatives for text such as item names. IsUpText(''), ChooseOption(''), and the chat searches in the script are the only things that need adjusting. DTM's and BMP's are still the same as are the colors.
whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa....thres no need to translate the code, only the ingame stuff. infact, i think this is a fabbulous idea....think about it. isnt threre less ppl on german rs? isnt threre less mods? better, more effiecient cheating?? i know german(enough to understand rs, and speak, not perkfect deutsch).....say i just started playing rs, and i went on deutsch server..i would know what im doing...so if ur serious bout this, maybe i oculd help you
I think its a waste, if you want german scripts, translate SRL yourself and make your own german script

That's exactly what I'm talking about, Hobbit. But, do you think it would make SRL more efficient if we could translate the InGame attributes like, IsUpText, etc. to German?
