    okay i dunno if anyone has ever thought about this but when i was thinking about runescape cheating the other day something occured to me

    THE RUNESCAPE POSITIIONING SYSTEM

    ---WHAT TO DO---

    *get minimap pics of the entire rs world, from the make compass north position

    *piece them together and create a bitmap of the entire world, of how it looks in the minimap

    ---WHY---

    from doing this we can at any point in time, pinpoint our position based on our minimap, making it virtually impossible to get lost

    ---HOW---

    set up the bitmap with a cooridinates system, take a picture of the minimap, and parse the world bitmap for a tolerance of the picture, and pinpoint where you are based on the white square in the minimap

    *** THE CHALLENGE

    this would be hella hard because there are constantly people in the world, and the quest points move alot..... plus the underground tunnels would make it a tid bit more difficult.....

    --------THE OUTCOME---------

    imagine how much easier cheating would be when a system like this is devised? you would virtually never be lost..... just a thought.... feedback all?

    Umm... We made it in members section But it kinda isn't official or anything, just a part of this project...

    No, its not very hard, only thing you need is a bitmap of the area you want, make dtms based on a tpa and do DTMRotated...

    Well if world 156 was still up then it would be a lot easyer because there would be no white dots. Also I doubt this will happen. Its a good idea though. Also even if we got all the pictures, to make every script automaticly load everysingle bitmap would make it lag like hell.

    well..... it would make it lag like hell..... if your computer is not too up 2 date.... i was thinking about trying myself in varrock, and seeing if i can make it so that i can get to the fountain based on this system from anywhere there, and then expand it, but i have no free time because i work full time and go2 school full time, good thing i have this week off from school :-/

    ** town, how the hell wouldnt it help? if after every other time you walked you could find out exactly where you are in relation to your destination, then you could make it so it follows the roads or paths until the destination with a radial walk function that dynamically changes the angle of the radial walk based on the positioning of you at any given time and your destination..... lets think before we post....


    so n3ss, how are u doing this? are you using scar, or are u implimenting c++ or another language into it? personally i think c++ would make the parsing and positioning system faster, more efficient.... but how are you doing it?

    Holy S**t dude! That'd be a BIG-ASS bitmap!

    There's already a solution to that though, and it's called the "Kick-Your-Ass-'Macro'".
