Default if ur tiered of getting banned("somehow") and need a new ip

First of all, theres two types of ip(s)...static or dynamic, static means it never changes, and dynamic means it changes by itself..i think you can pay your isp for this feature?..someone know?

now there are several ways to do this, and a chance that none of them will work lol...

some people keep getting banned...this is probably because jagex knows your ip and watches u more than others...duh...so heres a quick on how to change your ip...
ps: anon proxies don't work because jagex uses voodoo!..no...a special filter etc not gonna go into detail...

everyone of these might work for some, and not for others...I'll begin with the easiest ways and keep making it harder for the people who are desperate...

    first go to CMD...

    start menu>run>cmd
    type "ipconfig /release"
now type "ipconfig /renew" (..ipconfig obviously stands for ip configuration, if you type it in by itself, it will show you your ip..which you don't want to yell out, just so you know..)

this releases your LAN (local area network) ip depending on how your connected, but its fast so do it anyway...
    ---------------------------------------------------------
ok, if your using a modem, you can try masking your ip with a vpn (virtual private network)....a good free vpn is Hamachi...Google the download...its mainly used for other programs but it will do..remember to turn off "share files" in it ok then that should mask your modem ip...i do believe...

    doesn't work? keep trying...this..?
    ----------------------------------------------------
ok for "most" people this ~might~ work ...unplug your modem from your pc, but leave it plugged in the wall for 3 minutes...then unplug it completely for 5 minutes....
    ------------------------------------------
stil a no? ...this is known to work for a few of my colleagues...
unplug it, and leave it over night...approximately: 8 hrs....unplug completely...
    ----------------------------------------------
the way mine works....i use recovery disk...not just to get a new ip, but to make my pc faster..anyway every time i recover pc it will flush my ip....
    -----------------------------------------------
call you isp (and maybe threaten to switch services lol) and demand a new ip....recommended-try to be polite first...
    -------------------------------------------------
smash your pc, and buy a new 1?
    ----------------------------------------------------

    USE ONLY AS LAST RESORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    =======================================
make a new account, and go around for about an hour...reporting idiots for doing stuff that could be anything from the "rules" of rs...it worked for me when they ip baned me lol....actually i even got my account back...i appealed, but it said they didn't approve it, and i went to log on and it was there...i dunno...even though theres no appeals for autoing?......

note: I'm lazy and tired...i realize this tut is almost pointless, because SRL is so awesome and not many get banned...but for those who do...there you go..i cant think of anything else ATM sorry..

EDIT: spell checked, and you know what?..it wasn't that bad..
jagex does ip ban you..rarely...I'm not sure with the random ip ban? lol never heard that before...and doubt its true..

I don't think Jagex watch you through your IP; only through your Random.dat.

Jagex does monitor ip's otherwise how would they give out the rare and non-occasional ip-ban? And when he unplug's the modem and your ip changes that means that you have a "dynamic" ip which never stays the same. Depending on your service you might have a "static" ip which stay's the same and the ipconfig option might work. Otherwise good job mate. might want to add this in for detail information.

The modem one always works for me

I just flick it on and off and wala new IP.

There's a million services online too that'll check you're IP, that way you can be sure.

Course even with a new IP, if you use the same account its a little obvious. You may want to switch IP's when switching from macro to main. Just a suggestion

Nah, I don't relly belive this. They ban the static IP because if they ban the dynamic one, it changes itself and you can play again, so that's no use. As he said, the static IP NEVER changes, and the command ipconfig/renew, what does it do? It renews you old it doesn't give you a new IP or anything because the IP i unique for your computer. So... I don't think that this works but... Then I think proxies work better. If anyone wants to know what a proxy is, here you are:
A proxy is "your own" server wich is created between your network and (in this case) Jagex network, so it will"hide" you IP. As chitin said they have a filter (I'm not sure about that, but since he said it...) so maybe it's not hideable anyway... Who knows...

Just a suggestion for other tuts you might write: Try using capitals and complete sentences. It makes it so much easier to read. Thanks
