I usually try to keep track of prices on computer components like RAM, hard drives, CPU's cases, power supplies, motherboards, etc. I have assembled about 5 computers in my life, and I have been able to build them relatively cheaply by buying individual components as they go on sale.
I will post new deals in this thread as I find them, for anyone interested in buying computer parts. In addition to serving as a place to post good deals that come up, it may serve as a useful reference to see if something you want to purchase was on sale for less before. As a general rule, prices tend to go down on computer components, and if something was selling for a low price before, it will return to that low level or lower at some point in the future.
Today I wanted to post a pretty good deal on some hard drives. Fry's is selling PATA/IDE 320 Gb Seagate hard drives for $60 with free shipping.

There is also a SATA version for $5 more.

One benefit of buying Seagate drives over some of the other brands is that they have 5 year warranties, where some others will only have 1 year or 3 year warraties.
These are for retail boxed hard drives, so you get screws, cables, and initialization software to help you get it up and running.
If you want to spend more for more space, there are good deals on 500 Gb drives as well.
