Walking is the most painful and boring thing in SCAR. Making it easier = good IMO.

BUT the point is that KYAB has a quite small community and not too many scripts to it's not too useful. And releasing it to public (if it already hasn't been released to public) could be a good idea..

Personally I like KYAB and the idea of it and it's extremely stupid IMO to say things like "it throws away SRLs hard work and ruins everything" and that nobody wants to nor will learn SCAR anymore. TO be exact they might not want to learn RRW, so what? I think everyone should be allowed to choose between KYAB and RRW, and maybe they can move to RRW once they're more advanced with SCAR?

And I don't see how KYAB is stopping people who seek more challenge from using RRW? And KYAB uses SRL too so it's not trying to replace SRL as far as I know, just makes walking simplier, and I don't see people raging about SS making everything easier or how it's ruining everything......

    Anyways, I don't rly care.

I am having serious doubts if I should close this thread or not (yes even though mastaraymond promised it won't be closed).

I didn't, maybe sometime, but I had a question. What are you hoping to accomplish with this thread and did/are you accomplish(ing) it ?

There is a sticky in this section about KYAB, so if you are doing it to notify people of KYAB it seems rather useless.

Raymond never promised it would not be closed, as a for your info.
He said hugo should just post the thread.

It's amazing that the admins (for the most part) just posted the exact same opinions I did and nobody would ever even consider disagreeing with them/flaming them. Very interesting how people will change their opinion, or just not post it, if somebody important doesn't agree with it.

Unless i'm mistaken the only admin who posted their opinion was Wizzup? And Sumillion posted referring to whether or not this thread should be closed. And Wizzups post has to do with the intentions of this thread, and not so much the reason why KYAB should or should not be accepted here.

I do agree with Wizzups post though, on the notion that more thought should have been put into this thread before it was made (If it was still to be made at all).

Instead of repeating my points again, i'll just say to read GoF and Psychor's posts as they sum up some things quite nicely. Oh, and what Ruler said about it all being politics of course.

Offtopic: Sumillion, when did you get admin? xD Congratz. I still remember back when i started here and released a Rimmington Miner, and then you released yours..Lol.

Oh and JAD, your posts continue to put me at awe. You somehow manage to almost completely ignore whatever you're replying to yet still make a convincing argument. It baffles me. (No offense meant at all in that, honestly)

Wow, for some reason, my email notifications stopped coming and I stopped looking at this thread. Stupid vb. Proprietary software never gets anything right!

Anyway, back to the topic at hand...

Well i have brief access for about 3 more minutes so i will post a bit more of my opinion that Mr.Klean was going to post for me later.

Hugo, you posted that when Ben left KYAB the the trust in it went with him. That is because when he left, that left Solar incharge of things, and we all know how that's been going at times. Time and time again Solar has showed us why we should not trust him, latest of which is cracking Nexus, not to mention the threats made by him in the past...KYAB will never have a home at SRL, read the home page, we "don't use our knowledge of java". Many things before kyab have died and gone and maybe not it is KYAB's turn.

I have more to say but must go.

Yes and that statement is complete bullshit as this forum 100% supports SMART and SS which both use Java

Referring to "We do not use our knowledge of the Java code" is really reading and comprehending with out context.

The statement doesn't mean anything that has a trace of Java source code is forbidden, it basically means they don't look at any RuneScape source code or variables ect... instead rely on things that are perfectly "natural" in a sense, such as the colors and shapes you see when you play the game.

I have seen many reasons to or no to use KYAB, to be honest, almost all of them are valid. Solarwind is incapable of fixing KYAB, purely incapable of doing it even if you gave him the time to focus on it (he's done nothing but stare at the source code for the past six-eight months -.-), BenLand100 on the other hand could create a completely separate bot with the same concept all on his own and could probably integrate it right into SMART if he wanted to, but from what I understand he does not want to simply because people war over it such as now.

What I fail to understand is why anyone would want to try and tell other people why they should or shouldn't use KYAB, people are completely free to chose what they decide and it's not in anyway effecting the your challenge as a scripter to do it your way, but then again it is effecting your "l33t status" or whatever, so please stop saying that you reject things with the concept of KYAB just because it ruins your challenge, no one is forcing you to use it.

As for SRL being integrated into KYAB, that's just stupid. Leave SRL's include alone. Make a KYAB.SCAR for basic functions needed or whatever and include it by itself (it's not that difficult).

As for this thread, there has never been a point to it. There will be a time and place to discuss what's being discussed now, but it is not here and it is not now.

KYAB will never have a home at SRL

Wasn't that just easier to say on the beginning?

Lock this thread please, CBF to delete it.
