    Default Creating DTMs: logs

When creating log DTMs is it necessary to create a separate DTM for each type of log (Ex: Normal, Oak, Willow), or is it only necessary to create one DTM (log) with high tolerance (255)?

    Thanks!

first of all dont make two topics saying the same thing. and it depends on what you want to do with the logs. do you want to count the amount of any log in your inv or do you want to click on a specific type of log. if the first on then one is needed if you want the second different dtms are needed or one ddtm and different main point colours.

If I made two topics it's because I am at work on a shiesty computer .. thanks for the proper berating! I'm sure an Admin/Mod will make quick work of my accidental error.

As for the rest .. I need to be able to distinguish between all 3 logs. So, DDTM or a DTM per log? Thank you!

EDIT: O crap ... and I just double posted .. so please don't even bother I already know.

If you haven't gotten this answered already, a DTM with some tolerance would be best. I'm not sure how much the logs differ in color, but the main point should have between 5-20 tolerance depending on whether or not it can still identify that same log without seeing another type.

Need help again please anyone know the trick for getting my log DTMs to distinguish themselves from each other? I am working with normal, oak, and willow .. started off with no tolerance - wouldn't withdraw any from my bank. Re-did them with 255 tolerance .. would withdraw the wrong ones. Moved down to 20 tolerance .. still withdrawing the wrong ones.

Experiment with the tolerances. A tolerance of 255 or higher would mean any colour so FindDTm with return the first log it finds. A tolerance of 0 wouldn't account for the fact that RS colours change slightly. I'd say anything between 5 and 15 tol should do. Remember though, the higher the tolerance the more chance of it finding the wrong log.
