Default i need help!! my comp doesnt have 32 bit color

ok my comp doesnt have 32 comp color...mines a gateway probably a 200-2002 model. so it only goes to 24-bit color. so i think this can effect me with the scripts that i try to run. and i notice that alot of the dells have it and the graphics look better. i know cuz i played it at school and the screen is alot different. it like moves different.

so can anyone hlp. can i configure this setting...can i download something so my monitor can have 32 bit?? help plz

    if your running WinXp:
    right click on your desktop
    select properties
    click on settings tab
under Color Quality click on drop down menu and select Highest(32 bit)
    Click on Ok
you might have to restart computer

That should do the trick... I find it hard to believe it does not offer 32bit color... I've worked with older gateway computers and had higher color than 24 bit. h):

Yes, if you cannot have 32 bits color, scripts will not work correctly. I know it because I was always playing in 16 bits color (I prefer 16 to 32), but now I'm on 32 because I need it for cheating.

you can force it to try to run 32bits colour/color but it might not have the best effects...

    go right click on desktop>properties>settings>advanced>monitor tab>properties>driver tab>
update driver> choose option "no" > choose option > install from specific location > choose "dont search, i will chose the driver to install", untick "show compatible hardware"

and try messing around choosing some of the option from the right.

*note this may not work but it is worth having a look at.

nah thier alright...i think i i fucked it up hardcore though. Cuz i went to gateway.com and looked for my comp..threw my serial number..and they found it its just that i cant download anything because basically this is a DELL comp. lol i edited it. with the cd that comes with the dell computer so my comp is basically a dell. i deleted all files from gateway so my computer cant respond to gateway programs. Maybe i should go to dell instead and see if i can download updates...??

so wat ur saying is that i have to restart my comp. with a new cd. Like a gateway cd. because this comp really wasnt mine before. it belongs to RENTWAY. dont know if yall know that rental store. They gave it to me for FREEE!! just for working for 3 days thier. lol my mom knew the manager and he hooked me up with it. the only reason he gave it to me is because the got brand new dells. and they were gonna sell all the gateways on ebay and make some money. so they gave me the comp for free. not the monitor though. but i dont care i got a free comp =). so wat do i do now??

My computer also doesn't have 32 bit

    I bought it in 1997 for $1,400:
    Windows 98 SE
    40GB HDD
    256 RAM
    500MHz PIII

When I bought it, it had a sticker on it saying "Y2K COMPATIBLE!!" lol
    I still haven't removed it
Hey lady, I need a yank! Ha ha, dislocation.

yea i think they need to make it to 24-bit also...not only just for 32-bit but for 24. cuz a couple of people can use them as well as others doo. so thats a problem for us.

and many people are saying, "Buy a new computer.." or "Get a new graphics card"
well im 15 and how the hell am i gonna come up with 500 dollars to buy a new comp.
my family is paying $720 a month for our property. $150 a month for my satellite internet.
and $85 dollars a month for their dell. thier not gonna buy me a new comp. they rather pay off the bills and rather not buy anthing for me. Give me the money assholes so i can buy a new comp. then we can eliminate me as one of the few that doesnt have 32 bit.

give me the money to buy a graphics card. i rather spend my own dam money on my 89 nissan pathfinder. im not gonna pay 20-40 dollars for a graphics card when i can use the money for gas, interior, and pimp ass rims. im sorry for flamming but face the facts this is the real world SHIT IS EXPENSIVE!!! for all u little kids that are so F***ing spoiled u are F***ing lucky. u dont know how easy u have it. ur parents worked thier asses off just to buy u a high top alienware computer. when my dumbass is begging on my knees just to get a USED comp. with 32 bit. TRUE color.

This is a SRL forum...for all u the high-tech computer nerds that run this site make a 24-bit script. NOT JUST FOR ME BUT FOR EVERYONEEEEEEEE. try it out see how well it works see if its better than 32. Yes i called u nerds but who cares everyone is different thier the Jocks, The freaks, the gothics, the skaters, the punks, the gangsters, the assholes, and the nerds/geeks. dont get offended its just life and life F***ing suxs.

300MHz and 64MB ram. That was my first computer. It had 32 bit color.

    But that's off topic:

To squancy, I'm not really sure. I would worry about 1. color finding and 2. bitmaps. You might have to go through and remake a lot of bitmaps. I include the UpText in that, so it won't be easy.

You might be better of making your own scripts, and using things like bitmaps instead of UpText/InChat.

Wow. I've been away quite a while. Real life, yea, way unpredictable. Sorry, y'all, if I've caused any inconvenience.
