if you don't know which type of RAM you need I think you have to look at the physical stick to find out.
If your computer is relatively new I'll be it "SD-DDR2 240 pin", as thats the most common as of now.
DO NOT!!!!! go to a local retailer like Staples or Office Max to buy RAM, PLEASE!!!
They will charge you 4 times the price. I would suggest looking at www.newegg.com for your computer parts, they have great shipping and cheap prices. Also, I think there is actually a little tut on how to figure what kind of RAM you need when you click on the "Memory" option (yes, RAM is considered memory)

Good luck with the RAM upgrade, it's the cheapest up-grade, easiest to do, and very effective at speeding up a computer

First of all, your in Australia, NewEgg won't ship to anywhere but the US and Puerto Rico.

Second of all, I recommend Crucial Ballistix, or if thats a little too expensive, try some Mushkin.

Accept that the waters around you have grown.

thanks for clarifying on the shipping

You can still use the newegg tut thing to figure out what type of RAM it is...I've never used it, so I don't know how well it works though

installing it is easy all u gotta do is open the case, and place it in one of the empty slots next to ur original ram. (first open the little tab things on the sides and then close them onto the stick)
