    Default HELP! Infostealer! (Virus)

Well, I just downloaded a file, and then Norton came up and said "Virus detected 'Infostealer.Gampass' ". So right now, I am scanning with both Norton and AVG 8.0 PRO. I'm hoping that this will find it, and delete it, but currently has found nothing. Anyone have a better idea, before I have to go and reinstall my OS?

Thanks! Scanning cpu with it right now

EDIT: Thank you so much man! You saved my computer! I was thinking that I still had it, but then I realized that I had 2 virus scans going. A download going, and SpyHunter scan going. Thats probably why. Anyways, once the scanners are done, I going to restart computer.
Mods, you can close this is you want. My computer is back to normal (I think). BTW, I +rep you.

The thing is, mine didn't it just said found Virus. That's why Norton sucks. AVG all the way. (My mom MADE me delete AVG and put Norton on there.) Now since I got it off with well SpyHunter, and AVG partly, she let me keep both Just to tell people, AVG better then Norton (IMO)

AVG Free is a terrible anti-virus.

But, I guess you can't complain. It is a free anti-virus after all. I use a 'borrowed' version of Kaspersky. I find it better than NOD32, which other people may prefer.

Norton was good a couple of years back, but it's been superseded by better, less laggy protection systems

Anyway, glad to know your virus is gone

Yeah Norton Sucks IMHO, I was using Norton GHOST which is a recovery system for C:\ and when my computer crashed I reinstalled my Os. I then go to Norton and it says all the files have been corupted. I lost all my scripts including a Wildy Rune Miner

Get NOD32 and read this tut in the future - I dunno if it will help you with your specific virus, but I think they are similar to the one I wrote for the tut.

My perants MAKE me keep AOL on my comp. I never use it but the upside is that McAfee anti virus coes with it. It is completly awsome works like a charm. They tried putting Norton on their comp and it lagged so bad it took all night to dl a song from Napster.
