    Internet Slowww(lagging on games) ~help~

    heylo srl. i got a big problem(annoying), my internet connection keeps lagging on my xbox 360, and PC GAMES: CS, Swat 4. idk what to do getting me pissed using IE, Windstream. got about 5 comps/laptops running with wireless (1 or 2 using direct connection to router). i did turn off my comps while i play, still lags. it has got worst since summers here? and yeah please help me how to prevent this, do i need updates or whattttttttttt? :P

    Check for viruses - most of the time, they soak up ur internet connection (but I presume its not this, since you have already tried turning off your computer while using the internet).

    Disable ur firewalls.

    If you have a router, directly plug ethernet into your modem and test your speeds.

    If all is well, it is most likely your internet provider.

    My internet sucks right now, and its Bellsouth's fault...

    Yes it may be the heat on the router or the modem, try turn both off for an hour and unplugging the contacts (Yes, you survive without autoing and SRL-Forums for an hour. )
    This has helped me before.

    EDIT: If that does not work, try plugging your computer directly into the modem. If no/less lag, go buy a new wireless network router, and throw the old one into the sea

    I use to have talk talk broadband which is a load of crap and ***ks up randomly
    I had the same problem then i got a new router and my internet changed to super speed lol. Now i am on BT works fine with its new bt home hub. I am looking forward to getting Virgin Medias 20mb Broadband : ] i cant wait i am getting it in a week or soo
