    Default What Seems to be the best "Walk" Function?

    I am making a any logs to planks script. But first, i need an opinion on which ranks the highest to lowest. I know for sure Radial Road Walk Rank is low.

    1. DDTM's
    2. WalkPath(0);
    3. RadialRoadWalk;
    4. Others(Describe Please);

    Thanks, and hope to god i am able to do this.

    All have different strengths and weaknesses. You can't just stick to one, or rely on the other.

    I like to use (well, so far have only done walking with one script ) a combination of WalkPath(0); and RRW. WalkPath(0); usually, with a failsafe of RRW, then if WalkPath doesn't work (maybe there's a fork in which both paths are similar) I just use RRW.

    Why?? why is RadialRoadWalk a low rank? if youed right it can be quite good backed up with others. DDTMs are good for when walking into a building and cross roads ect... but for walking along a path if you can auto color it flawlessly radialwalk can be quite well... flawless.

    No procedures or function are better than another. They just do different things and it really depends on what you're walking to and how you're getting there. And just so you know WalkPath and FindPath use DDTMs. They just simplify it a bit and make it more user friendly so there is really no point in saying DDTMs are better than WalkPath...

    oh ok. Well in this case Zephyr, which would you personally use more when you have to walk to Varrock, all the way to the Saw Mill Operater. You made a Rune MYsterieres Runner (Which of course REQ. Lots of walking). So what do you think works better? (

    I'm assuming the Saw Mill is at the Lumber yard to the north east of Varrock. Assuming that you start in VEB it looks like a combination of Radial Walk and DDTMs might work the best. You can try WalkPath too but I think it would be easier to just use RadialWalk. Use RadialWalk to exit the bank and go east until you find a DDTM of the T junction in the road. Then follow the road north with RW until you find that dirt road colour. If you can you could autocolour that road and use RW on that colour to go to the mill.
