    Interesting error

Ok, so I wasn't all too sure about where to post this since I'm not sure which part of SCAR this error pertains to, but here it goes:

Recently, I installed SCAR 3.15b and updated to the most recent SRL. I installed the Subversion Repository, and Reflection (through TortoiseSVN).

The next thing I knew, however, was that every time I started scar it would say "The ordinal 3724 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll"
Now, I have searched the forums and found similar problems, but not this one exactly.

Also, fyi, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the following in different orders (and all at once) to see if one was affecting the other: SCAR, SRL, Reflection, and Subversion Repository.

Another key note would be for me to mention that I am currently running Windows Vista Ultimate x64.

    Any help is appreciated!

LIBEAY32.dll is for the pc more than Scar - used for SSL primarily. Back it up after finding it (rename it to LIBEAY32.bck.dll or something in case the new on fails), then download one from online - preferably from a trusted site since quite a lot probably fill themselves up with spyware and viri - and Scar should work, though it shouldn't stop Scar working in the first place...
By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

Hmm, new error, hardly surprising though SCAR can use SSL in rare cases, but does not include the SSL dll, SCAR 3.20 will make more common use of SSL though and will install the dll.

Interesting...any ideas about where I could obtain a new LIBEAY32? I mean, besides just searching on google that is (that's just common sense ).

I also have a desktop computer with Windows XP Home x32 on it (I'm on my laptop with the Vista x64). On the desktop computer, the error does not show up and I'm able to run scripts just fine, so I went ahead and exported all of the SCAR folder from my desktop and replaced the existing folder on my laptop.
When I opened SCAR after that, the error didn't occur, which led me to believe that I fixed it. But as soon as I closed out of SCAR and opened it again, the error appeared. I'm now wondering if something is being deleted along the way....and I'm pretty sure it has to do with Vista

Meanwhile, I suppose I'll scour the internet for a LIBEAY32.dll

EDIT: Also, once I've downloaded the LIBEAY32.dll, where do I put it?

I just finished trying that, and unfortunately it didn't work. I'll keep trying different spots though...

EDIT: Problem solved! After a little google searching that is

Here's what to do if you ever come across this error...after some searching I found that this problem can be solved by installing the latest edition of OpenSSL (located here). However, this is for the 32-bit editions of Windows. After some more searching I found a 64-bit edition (located here) that someone decided to take upon themselves to create.
On the 32-bit edition, there is already an install exe, so installing that isn't a problem.
On the 64-bit edition, however, you'll need to install it yourself. As it turns out, it really isn't that hard considering all you need is the LIBEAY32.dll...just copy the dll and put it in the sysWOW64 and system32 folders (I wasn't sure which one, so I just put it in both...and it worked so whatever ) and *poof* SCAR will now boot up without the error.

I'm not sure if I made more work for myself or not...but considering it only took me about 10 minutes to fix I'm not too worried about it.

I hope that this helps anyone else that is having the same problem!
