And really what just sickens me is I bet 13 out of the 16 people are voting for obama because of the idol hes become. All these teenagers and blacks want the first black pres. They don't know his plans, they just know that he is a cool hip black guy, and they would choose him over and older more experienced man. They don't have a real political view.

Wow, so true... Also, he isnt even the epitomy of black people either, he acts like a white dude, and i see actions more than color

I dont see obama as an idol. I just wanna see something different. Today Mccain chose the alaskian gov for VP. Sucks for him that he cant use inexperience against obama right now. Also all of Mccains ads are negative and there only for attacking Obama. They dont say why choose Mccain. I dont see were/what his negativity is doing for him. Though I have to say this election is fucked up. And theres also controversies that the U.S told georgia to attack russia, to aide one of the presidential candidates.

First off, why CAN'T he use obama's inexperience? Obama cant say hes been in the senate for 4 years because he spent 2 of them in this campaign! Also Obama's ads are just flat out stupid. He starts talking about McCains houses.. er... ok.. no one cares how many he has.

Because palin is inexperienced? And obama's ads do make more sense if you care to look at mccains ads in the 1st place.

Why? It should REALLY belong in the Discussions and Debates section, since this only affects the USA citizens. What if i were to put something about Australia in this board, you'd all say to move it!

Palin actually has more experience than Barack does, she served as a mayor for a while, has actually done her job as senator(?) for her term so far instead of running for the presidency. Also, she is going for VICE president, not the PRESIDENT, so the fact that both McCain and his running mate are more experienced than Obama, is saying a lot.

Its not racist, it is what Obama is trying to do. He is simply saying a group of people (who happen to be black) follow Barack for the only reason that he is black too. Obama himself is not a "hip" guy, the media has simply spun him to be so. Sure teens viewpoints may be formed from their parents, but peer pressure is a strong force as well, and in large cities it is mostly liberals.

Both campaigns can't use the experience card now. Pain has NEVER been to Iraq, while Obama has been their twice and of course Biden has been there many times. The only thing we know about Palin is she supports drilling in ANWR and she recently told Glenn Beck she didn't want to be VP job and was also quoted saying she didn't know what the VP job entailed.

Yeah Obama has gone out and actually met the people instead of McCain who stands there like a statue with a mike saying "Offshore Oil Drilling.. blah blah". Wake Up! Oils going to run out! Why steal from the future to feed the present?

Met what people? If we dont drill then what are we going to use until we find a viable alternative resource? Also we use oil for more than just energy, we use it in a variety of products like plastic, so drilling doesnt really hurt us...

Why would it run out? It comes from organic substances (mostly fish ect), and while we may be using it at a faster rate than nature is producing, we still have time to find alternative resources... What do you expect us to do? Not drill, use the rest of the oil/gas we have right now and rely on alternative resources as they are right now?! none compare to what oil can give us, and i am all for getting alternatives, but we need to drill and research or we wont be able to survive...

Why not tap into your own resources for a change? Instead of buying off other countries ?

First you said that we shouldn't drill because "the oil will run out" (which it won't for quite a while). Then you asked why we don't tap into our natural resources for a change, which means drilling in Anwar, Alaska. So you contradicted yourself.

The only thing I dislike about McCain is that he is a war Munger. As soon as/if he, gets elected, he would start a war with another country. he also only picked the woman as a VP so he could obtain all of Hillary's votes. This is rediculous. It's like Dumb vs. Dumber. You see what I mean. It's not about the future of the country, but about the colour of your skin and who's going to win.

Obama's campaign immediately started attacking Palin over her inexperience. If anything, the debate over experience in this campaign has been increased by choosing her, since now both sides are talking about it.

Her son just joined the Army last September, and is being shipped to Iraq on 9/11. I'd say she "knows" more about the cost of war than most. And of course, McCain will be the one running things if they get elected, so unless he immediately dies, she will have plenty of time to learn. You can't say the same for Obama.

Let's hear what Obama had to say about himself as a potential Presidential Candidate...

OMG OBAMA IS ON THESE FORUMS!!!! :P

Palin served as Governor of Alaska not senate. She has more experience than Obama. Obama has zip experience in ANY form of executive office.

The only thing I dislike about McCain is that he is a war Munger. As soon as/if he, gets elected, he would start a war with another country. he also only picked the woman as a VP so he could obtain all of Hillary's votes. This is rediculous. Actually, she was a very smart choice. You see, she has more experience than Obama, she would win over the hanging votes of women that previously went for Hillary, and she was pro drilling in Alaska.

We NEED oil. It runs our lives and if it keeps going up, the cost of EVERYTHING will go up. Even candy prices have been raising and that's just a small item. Cost of production goes up. McCain is pro drilling in our own country.

Ok so Obama has "been" to Iraq twice. If I went there then I could run for president? It's not like he actually did anything. And the time he was supposed to go to Germany to meet the soldiers there in the hospitals and stuff, he pussied out and has a nice trip to germany.
