I think it is perfect, he needed to more connect with his conservative base, which he did, he is far enough out to the left for him to get swing voters.
What do ya'll think? Good or bad?

Its good that he has someone to balance his campaign. But Obama will win, his VP wasn't even on BBC News as much as Obama's was. Though I guess thats becuase Obama has alot of Press on him.
Enough with the spam already..
and I want mccain to lose this one.
I think it was a stroke of genius.
I was convinced that Romney was the best pick. Pawlenty and Lieberman would have been counterproductive for him. But Palin is a great choice.
She's young and inexperienced, which accentuates the "experience" facet of the campaign even more, which is a winner for McCain. It also nullifies Obama's choice of Biden as an attack dog. Do you think he's going to unleash on her in the VP debates? More likely he'll be looking totally uncomfortable trying to confront her and walking on eggshells the whole time.
As a mother of 5, who has tried to balance life and career, she will energize a lot of women who might not otherwise vote for McCain.
I think it was a way for McCain to highlight the reality that Democrats talk about empowering minorities and women, and Republicans do it. Colin Powell was the first black Secretary of State. Condi Rice was the first black female Secretary of State. Meanwhile blacks in the Democrat party are kept in low ranking position, and are constantly bumping up against a glass ceiling.
Dems spent 4 days praising how Hillary put 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling for women, and McCain just shattered it in one blow.
