    Default Does Post Count..

    Affect people's popularity?

    How about their "kiddiness?"

Do you think people with high post counts are loser with no life?

Idk. I personally think that the higher the post count, the more respect you should give to that person.

Btw, this is my 900th post.
If this is in the wrong place, mod, please move it.
I thought it is worth discussing.

But what if, like a lot of the time, most of that high post count is spam? Do you still give more respect to that person.

I think all post count shows is either 1. the amount of spam a person has posted, or 2. the amount of time a person dedicates to SRL. It's different for each person.

I think age and maturity matters more. Many people with low post counts are respected members at other larger forums and act mature whenever they are on any forum.

High post count does show someone is been around and is dedicated to the forum which can show they are respectable. However, it could equally mean they are a spammer or a kid who will make 1 or 2 word posts often. People who do not at least make an attempt with basic grammar, yet have loads of posts are generally not too mature.

Edit: Bullzeye beat me to it.
    No room for thoughts.

I just follow the old saying - 'Quality not Quantity'. I respect some members that make few, intelligent posts more than some who make many, OK/spam posts.

I personally agree with all of you the more posts you have does count a lot but it can't be just spam it has to be reasonable and somewhat helpful also i agree with that longevity and amount of time spent on srl should count to. My final thing is that if you have a few progress reports or suggestions to help one script could get you better respected, and helping one out with scripting like testing it would help because if it is a big script it will be seen on the script when the creator gives you credit. But that is just my thoughts.

Its a give and take thing... You have to judge person by person, not person by postcount...
