Default Everything you need to know about donating

I am writing this so hopefully people will stop making threads such as "I donated! I want SRL Members Pl0x!" This isn't going to be very fancy, just a nice explanation of what happens from some who has done it first hand.

    • FIRST!!!

Decide that you want to donate. While I can tell you there are a few perks, it is nothing that will change your life, or allow you to access the member's area. You cannot buy your way into members, ever, end of story.
    • SECOND!!!

Click the "Donate" button on the SRL toolbar. Can't find it? Here it is:
      DONATE
    • THIRD!!!

Pretty easy to figure out...The default amount is set to $5.00, feel free to donate that much, or if you can't spare the $5.00, give a little less. Everything helps. I do not think there is a limit you have to donate to get the "Site Supporter" badge, but of course that is up the people receiving it. I am sure they will use common sense, and their best judgment when determining if you get the badge or not.
    • FOURTH!!!

Press the "PayPal Donate" button after you have decided what amount to donate, if will then route you to a secure PayPal site and you will be asked for your PayPal details. (This is not a PayPal tut, if you don't know how to use it, it's easy to figure out.) It then asks you to confirm, and this is the last point you can back out. Are you really sure you want to donate to this amazing site?!
    • FIFTH!!!

You're done. It does take time for (I've seen the name floating around, not sure who does it) Dankness to update the supporter list and give you your perks. So please be patient.
    • AND FINALLY

DO NOT POST A THREAD SAYING YOU DONATED AND YOU WANT YOUR PERKS!!!!!!!

Hobbit has stated, in many threads, that if you do not receive your badge and perks after ONE (1) MONTH, you may private message him a screen shot of your paypal history with the proof that you donated. He will then take care of everything because he is amazing.
    • PERKS
As for the perks of being a site supporter, well I can't tell you, otherwise, I would lose my perks. But I can tell you there is an obvious one that everyone talks about, and there is some more less public ones. So you'll have to donate and find out.

In my experience it took something like 5 months and I didn't care, I did not do it for the perks, I did it to help out the site, and give something back.

Thanks for reading my first tut on how to not bother people with your donating confusion.

If I left anything out, or you have something to add tell me and I will ponder it, hopefully this will stop the plethora of people from asking the same thing.

    I can tell, bah!

Nice to let people know, it may not be obvious to some. I can say, perks are great but a tightly hidden secret

Remember, dont donate just to recieve rewards that is selfish and lowers the reason for donations
