    Default Pre-Pay Card Launched!

We have just launched a new RuneScape subscription pre-pay card in Target stores throughout the US. The card features exclusive art on the front and comes in two versions: 30 days' subscription and 90 days' subscription.

Once purchased, you can then use the PIN number on the back of these cards to subscribe to RuneScape. You can do this by clicking on ‘Account’ in the website’s navigation, choosing ‘Start/Extend Subscription’, logging in, selecting ‘Subscribe by RuneScape Card’ as your payment method and then accepting the terms and conditions.
I think that is actually kind of cool, it will be much easier for those of us whose parents hate using credit cards to pay for runescape. Now I have to pay though. O well.

Its the same as buying a visa debit gift card and using that as a credit card to purchase membership.

Yea really (to what Estaban said).

Previously you could have just went to Walmart, bought a pre-pay visa gift card. Use the pin on the card to get the membership. If you want more membership go back to Walmart and put more money on the card.

Won't work, since they would obviously have to be activated when you buy them...

tea, the cards get activated by the cashier. But you could take a pic, and try it everyday hoping that someone bought the card LOL.

They probably will be scratch off, and if they send in a complaint to customer support saying someone used their number, you'll probably get banned

Well then it's their word against yours...Unless they come over to you and physically look at the card, or make you mail then a receipt I don't think they could actually do anything against you.

These cards are pointless... I'm not sure if I'm correct, but I think it said 22$ for 90 days... I can get an ultimate game card from rite aid for 20$ and get 90 days... Personally, I'm not gunna spend 2 extra dollars for pictures of runescape on a 20$ card.

I'm guessing they're like WoW's prepaid cards (in a plastic box thingie similar to PS2 games and crap), or in some small plastic thing you can't open and close w/o leaving a mark, and most likely a scratch-off surface where the code is at.

E: Just fuckin' steal the cards, easier than taking pics or crap

I'm surprised it took them so long. It makes sense since they've lost a big chunk of their members, they're trying to encourage membership.

I went to Target today and I saw them, they had 2 different types of them, one was a scratch off and another was in some boxy looking thing. Don't worry, I actually didn't buy one.

If they need to be activated couldn't you just get your friend that works at Walmart to activate the codes of the ones you steal.
    BTW
Best way to steal things is by boxing = Put small stuff in bigger stuffs boxes and buy the "big thing" full of small things.
