I've almost got a hunting script figured out, just need 1 more thing. If you haven't already, go do a little bird hunting, check the knowledge base.
When you put the thing in the ground, the uptext is dismantle. When a bird sets off the trap and gets caught in it, the uptext is check. But when a bird sets of the trap without getting caught, it still says dismantle. A little bar changes when this happens, but you can barely say see it as a human. Examining lets you know it needs to be reset, but I don't want to do that. I could try a motion detector on it, but that's a lot of work. I could watch for when a bird comes near, but I don't want to depend too much on colors/bitmaps. Any ideas on how to tell when the trap needs to be reset?

my idea doesnt use bitmaps, or colors, and is 100% fool proof
