    Default Wierdest Request Ever!

Since I am doing this from my PSP, it will be short. Can anyone make a script that avoids randoms, talks (I can handle that part) and banks grapes from the Cooking Guild. My script got my account down the stairs, but not any farther.

    Thanks!
PM me if you need any help with math.

    "Your script" being..?

and ALL randoms? not possible with non-reflection scar.

You can't really avoid randoms btw..

There are some people at SRL that use this Ub3r S3cr3t trick that avoids a lot of randoms though you gotta ask them for it....

    Solving randoms =/= avoiding randoms.

You definately can avoid randoms. When using my clay softener I switch players every 8-15 minutes. I had an 18 hour proggy yesterday without a single random event.

I tested using only one player so it just logged out and logged back in every 8-15 minutes. It went for 3 hours and I didn't get a single random.

I get randoms using the best scripts i can find. Most are solved except the quiz, and i got a maze that was halfway finished when i got back on.

    (again from PSP)
My script just clicks the distinctive color of the grape until the inventory is full. It does respond to some phrases (see AutoTalker project) and avoids most randoms. I'll post my script tomorrow when I get back from my vacation. It's really simple though (like 60 lines).

    No, you can't avoid randoms.

The only reason you don't get that many when you're logged in for 15 minutes is plainly because you aren't logged in for enough time to get a random.

JaGex doesn't know when you're going to log out, so it's impossible for them to schedule random events.

That is why my scripts don't work very well!

    Thanks people.

Nvm on the script request; I know why my scripts don't work.

They all rely on SOLVING randoms. Not avoiding them.

I'll post completed autominer test script tomorrow with proggy...

    You are wrong, my script have brought me 50,000 chocolate bars, 20,000 potatoes, 5000 pizza and proggies , 15 hours + Does takes 5-10 mins breaks every half hour or so but Ranoms have = 0;

You have 0 randoms because you were never logged in enough to get any -.-

Aye. That is true. You can't argue that JaGeX could ever plan a random event, since there's the obvious possibility that the player will log off at any given moment. Random events are.. Random! It's loaded into the code for certain things, namely amongst skills. Be it burying a bone, or chopping a tree: JaGeX sets a random event to getcha! Thus, "random". =P

Well you can't AVOID a random event completely, but you can DRASTICALLY lower the amount you get by taking regular breaks, changeing players each 9-15 Minutes, and if you ever get any while one of your players are logged in, your FindNormalRandoms should cover if its not an unsolvable.

Well, there were ways... probably still are...

Not that I know of any that still work

EDIT: When I saw "weirdest request ever" this wasn't what I immediately thought of :P

There WERE ways to never get any randoms as long as you didn't log out...

On forefeathers, I log out every 20 mins or so and I rarely get randoms. That's one of the ways to "avoid" randoms I guess you could say.

    You're not AVOIDING the randoms.

You just weren't on long enough to get any.

You can't AVOID something that is RANDOM.

    You're not triggering anything.

Players can't force a random. So, in essence, you're not "triggering" anything.

Actually, players can "trigger" randoms. I run my army for over 3 days straight, zero randoms, but I can guarantee that if I go on one of them and bury a bone, I will get a random. I've done it millions of times (now I've stopped because I don't want prayer exp :P)
Dude, the general message is, take breaks! Take a 5-10 min break every halfhour and you will get WAY less WAY less randoms! Do it up, run a test, post some results, I'm interested!

But that's not because you're triggering them.

RuneScape may have something set up to where every so few dropped bones you get a random. But, no sir, you aren't forcing the randoms to happen.
