If something affects the rich people, it will trickle down to the middle/lower classes too. Where would the US be without doctors, businessmen, successful investors, etc? Obama will hurt all of them, they'll all get ub3rly mad, and do something about it. A reasonable alternative for people such as investors, businessmen, etc. would be to leave the US. Since (AFAIK) you can still do your job (investing, creating/selling products) at least almost as well elsewhere. Doctors are stuck with a problem (Doctors don't make as much in other countries, so that's why the US' doctors are generally superior, at least that's what I hear), but eventually (not immediately, might take a year or two), there won't be too many doctors = higher health insurance = increased doctor salaries, wootNot guaranteed that will happen, but I hope it does.
Anyone living in the US could be rich if they wanted to. At least, up until Obama takes office.
no, it isn't that obama will be bad, it's just all the racism ,bush is white, so he was in less danger however yes bush was hatedhence he's not in office, i don't want obama dead and i'm happy he's won i'm just being a realist
but im guessing the day it is completely decided (january i think) he will be assassinated in a similar way to Martin Luther King.however hopefully before then "Change Will Come To America" not in Mccain's case "Free Chips For Everybody"
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
— Theodore Roosevelt
oh yeah dang forgot about thatoh well, i didn't like him :/
Being Canadian, our economy is largely effected by America. And I know if McCain was to be elected, it would have been the same rape to the environmental and economical policies as Bush. And for that, I can rest easy.
Obama will probably get more flak then other presidents though. He will make a bad decision and everyone will criticize more so. I wish him luck, he has a lot of fixing to do. Hopefully Obama starts changing the direction of the States for the best... Quickly lol.
afaik i heard people making 250k+ are the 1 who will get taxed more.
so yeah.
Started at 250k, then 200k, now down to 150k. Probably will drop more in fact.
Wizzup?, I'm not 18, but my parents pay taxes, both more wealthy than most people, and in case I (we) are gonna get screwed over by taxes.
PS Wizzup, that chart is total propaganda and you are more retarted that anything if you believe that...
Once again, Obama used 1.5 million dollars on a commercial than rather giving it to charity or to the economy. Lol?
Nauman, there was no "thrasing", electoral votes he may have won, but its among the people that really matters, which was about 50/50.
One last thing, why are people talking about color? This shouldn't have anything to do with it, and the votes should not have changed.
To say, if anyone voted for him to say that they were 'a part of history', they should probably die and realize that they are idiots (which I've heard SO many adults say.)
hakuna matata ;)
Most people are barely mature enough to live day to day life. When you give people as much power as a democratic vote most people do not sit down and think about but their country needs. The problem with democracy is EVERYONE gets a vote, and I myself do not believe in that. A good example why is the very thing you brought up! When you start voting for any reason except to have the best suited person with the best beliefs pertaining to the certain time and problems and start voting for someone just because you want to the other party to lose or you want a black president then it starts skewing the results.
And the worst part is you can start talking to them, and ask them why they are voting for a certain party and they will say something like "I am voting for x, because I do not like y and z". Last I checked one of the democratic rights was to abstain from voting. Ahhh god just aggravates me to no end when people with this way of living life is effecting my life.</rant>
Faith is an oasis in the heart which will never be reached by the caravan of thinking.
I think that although Bush did not completely screw us over like some people think, when he leaves the economy will start to get better and Obama will be given credit for it. However, I do think that Obama will bring good to America just because he himself is a change.
(Before I speak I want to say I did NOT read posts before me so if I repeat anything already said, I apologize)
I am a McCain Supporter. I am scared like hell to have Obama in the White House. And I am only 15 years old. I am a sophmore in High School and a Catholic.
Obama's ideals and morals are idiotic.
Obama is a great supporter of abortion. I absolutely am against abortion. I could NEVER kill my own child. I could NEVER have my child be murdered or literally vacuumed out of my girlfriend/wife's body. Of course I believe there are circumstances such as rape or bodily harm to the woman in which I believe morally it is allowable.
Obama wants to raise taxes for high income families and pretty much give this money to the low income families. I am in a mid income family. I don't see how giving unemployed people money is supposed to make their lives easier. Why not try and invent more jobs for people so that they can learn to responsibly take care of themselves and their families? Give a man a fish, and he will be happy for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will be happy for a lifetime. (something like that.. lol)
I pray to God he doesn't get assassinated. I also pray he doesn't screw this country over more than it already is.
I doubt there are more racists than there are African-Americans (And yes, I'm assuming pretty much all African-Americans voted for Obama, and I don't blame them tbh), + the fact that so many people voted for Obama just because they 'wanted to be there when history was made', and the people who were afraid of being called racists and voted for him just for that. At first, that's how I thought (stupid, I know), but then I watched the debates, listened to their plans, etc. That's when I changed my mind. All in all, being black helped Obama much more than it hurt him IMO.
Agreed Runescapian. I went to school today and heard alot of African American kids saying that their parents voted Obama just for that reason. Then they went on telling me they were celebrating by throwing rocks at cop cars? Really bright..
Gosh talk about a fl4me w4r starting. Come on guys its the first black president give him a chance. Im from New Zealand I have to deal with Helen Clark. For all of those who do not no her search her, shes not a pretty site. Well now that Americas had there election lets hope National gets in for New Zealand.
WOOP WOOP!
Edit:
Guys im just throwing this out in the open, but do you think any crazy american racist loony will attempt to murder him? Ill give it less than 1 year before, before poor Obama is under murder threats, and possible attempted murder activity
~Tom~
Someone said Obama made 4 million dollars last year? And what did Obama spend on his campaign, over a billion dollars? Before trying to get America to spread the wealth around, how about Obama spreads some of his wealth around to some of his immediate family who are like living out of cardboard boxes or are living on less than one dollar a day in Kenya like his half-brother. Giving some of his family members less than 2% of what he made could have drastically changed their lives. So before Obama goes telling the rest of our country to spread the wealth around to other lazy people, how about Obama spreads some of his wealth to his own family...
