    You should be infracted!

I'd kind of like to not live in a socialist country, but at least I know what I'm getting there, and won't have to see my country turn around ;d

America is not a socialistic country. Obama is quite conservative. What you call socialism is just generally accepted (and the most common) democracy in the Europe.

McCain never had a chance just for the fact he is republican. I kinda feel bad for the guy haha. His skit on SNL about his new last resort tactics was pretty funny.

It's a really good thing that he won and I think John McCain put up a very good fight, despite what people say.

I hope he doesn't turn into a gaffe machine like Biden already is.

He didn't hold a press conference for almost two months before the election. And he kept Biden out of the public limelight for the last month as well.

Well, he held his first press conference, and started off by calling himself (and apparently all other people of mixed race) a "mutt". Nice.

And he went on to attack Nancy Reagan over "seances", which was really strange. He had to come back and issue an apology within a few hours.

You turn off the teleprompters, and he's like a deer in the headlights. Hopefully this won't be a recurring problem for him and Biden.

The last thing any Republican supporter should be doing is making fun of Obama's speeches. I got enough soundbites of Bush, Palin, and McCain to last me through the century.

I doubt a lot of people were looking forward to having a Bush-look a like on the throne :P

Also, about 95% of the other countries worldwide had Obama winning in the polls. Deserved it, champ!

McCain != Bush. They're not the same...

Most other countries are way more liberal than we are, so it makes sense that they would like him better.

People like you make me sick. Not voting for him because he is black. Yes, there were black voters that only voted for him because he was black. But I, for one, voted for him because of his morals, intelligence and overall ability to lead. This was my first year to vote, so I was going to make sure it counted. I watched the race since the very beginning. You know how near the end the Republicans started attacking Obama for all the money he still had left to do campaign commercials and ads? Obama fed off of the people, it was the hundreds of thousands of average Americans donating $20-50 dollars who kept him going. Not the select few donaters who donated over a grand or two at a time. I bet you didn't know McCain went bankrupt at the beginning of the race. I mean the easiest part, where everybody is still running, and he goes bankrupt? If he can't even manage that, how is going to manage the country? Also, Republicans are backstabbing bastards. There was a report on not to long ago (can't remember what it was called) that showed the beginning of the backstabbing. The guy (Again, I forget his name and the show) worked his way up to the top of the Republican charts by lying, backstabbing, spreading false rumors. He was appointed George H.W. Bush's right hand man because he was so good at it. He was on H.W's campaign and he would spread false rumors about the other candidates. If it hadn't of been for this guy H.W. AND W wouldn't have been elected. This was over 30 years ago, before I was born, yet I could see the similarities of tactics used today. Not once did you see a campaign ad or commercial from Obama attacking McCain, but how many did you see coming from McCain? Alot. That is the way Republicans are. Now, I could go on forever but I'm getting lazy and I think you get the point. But hey, what do you care? For all I know, you're a little 12 year old kid who thinks he knows what he is talking about hearing it from their parents. If you are not, then don't take it to offense. I hear ALOT of little kids over Xbox Live talking like they know anything at all. So with all do respect, good day.

I don't believe the 'backstabbing story'. If it were true, and if there had been a public report on it, don't you think that it would have spread like wildfire, and that the Republicans would be in a horrible situation?

From the commercials I saw, a 30-second Obama commercial consisted of 25 seconds of attacking McCain, and then 5 seconds saying "I won't do this, I'll do ____". Up until near the end of the election (after some people finally saw the light and realized Obama was too liberal for the US), I almost never saw McCain attacking Obama (except maybe for a brief 5 seconds about Obama being against nuclear energy or offshore drilling).

Now, I don't in any way agree with the poster you quoted >_< But, from what I heard in the world around me, there seemed to be way more people who voted for him just because he was black than against him just because he was black. One popular opinion was "I'm voting for Obama because I want to see history made". And, as you said, about 95% of African-Americans voted for Obama, Around 50-60% of which I believe voted for their first time (based on exit polls).
