    Default Different Operating Sytems

I personally have tried two different Linux servers and windows xp/vista.

Obviously XP kills vista, hands down but Linux OS's are just really fun to screw around with and be ub3r 1337.

What are your favorite operating systems?

I prefer XP for gaming, various Linux distros for just messing around, and OS X for video editing and the like.

Gentoo. And a Ubuntu for it's easy-to-use standards.

i use ubuntu... its an easy switch from a windows distro because its very intuitive, but at the same time you learn the linux/unix base behind it when installing personalized apps that cant be installed with the installation software.

all in all i like ubuntu, it does what i need and i can play all my windows games on it... minor problems, easily fixed, not microsoft's biotch. i like

Good computer + Vista = Ownage. I used to hate Vista (what could I expect with 1GB RAM, integrated GFX card, etc.), but I upgraded my RAM a bit (to 1.5GB), and I love it. It's still a bit slow, but much better than what it was with 1GB (didn't think .5GB of RAM would help so much >_<). I can't wait till I get a nice laptop with Vista, woot

I've only looked at Ubuntu for like 5 minutes at a store, and it didn't seem that great :\ Obviously I'm missing something, but till I found out what that is - Vista FTW!

EDIT: WHOA! I just noticed I got a tester's cup :O Thanks Admins

EDIT: By the way, why does XP 'kill' Vista? Personally, I've had no compatibility issues in my 1.5 years with Vista, sure, it may not perform as well, but if you have 2-3GB of RAM, it should hardly be noticeable, and....well what else is supposedly bad about Vista?
