    Default Italiano -Learning!

Hey, I'm english, first and only language atm, I'm wanting to learn Italian but cannot at school (because we donot get option to choose it), so I was wondering, if you had learned another language - how did you do so?

I've tried some tutorials etc but I can't find what i'm looking for.

For now I just want to be able to say Hello, My name is Craig! I am 14!
I was mucking around with translate.google.com and I could say the above ^

Ciao, Il mio nome e Craig! Sono 14!

But then, aprently it was incorrect, so i'm looking for some good tuts if you know any?

Btw I might order a book or whatever for learning this?

    Don't mention tutors..

If you are Italian/Know it reply and i'll add you on MSN ?

You could try getting a hold of a program called "Rosetta Stone" (the Italian version)

I heard very good things of this program and it looks like this:

Hey guys. Just to let you know i've got therosetastone now, though mine doesn't look like the piccy you posted above.

I'm only on unit 1.1 so far

But at least i can say things like:=

Un bambino e una bambina - A boy and a girl.
    Un gatto e un'automobile - A cat and a car.

Though unit 1.2 jumps into something that i haven't learned.. i'm sure it does..

    thanks anyways

EDIT. The program is good don't get me wrong but it's kinda annoying, all it does is give you piccys and you gotta remember what they are and it'll say una bambina or w.e then you click on it, it's kinda annoying :/

    Sorry about double-post but *bump*

    Can someone help me?
I was confused about ragazzo and ragazza but now I think I've worked it out?

    La ragazza // The Girl.
    Il ragazzo // The Boy.
    Un bambino // A Boy.
    Una bambina // A Girl.

Question: So do I only use bambin* when saying "a.." or vice versa, please explain.
