The reason you probably flinch (or feel scared) is because black people are different. The easiest way to get around this is just think of them as your normal, average citizen, and not of anything else. It's not racist because anybody can see what you're going through.

True.... anybody can see and truly could understand the situation... unfortunately, people seem too inclined to post idiotic posts and pretend they really are something and know that they are talking about.

Dr D. Dervish, thedetro125 is correct (and a few other people have been too) no you are not racist. This experience will hopefully be something that you can, over time, learn to grow from.
