At the school I go to, we have Faronics Deep Freeze on the computers. SO, if anything is done to the computer it will reset and change eeverything on the next restart (if I make a file, delete a file, download/install an update, or install something/games(my personal favorite) it will all go away or come back when the computer is restarted). To the point of this thread, there is a new game that I have started playing. The game is called Sins of a Solar Empire. It is really great, the graphics are shockingly good, it can be multiplayer, and the game could last anywhere from a week of total playing time to an hour of total playing time (depending on the size of the map that you use). I was wondering if anybody else had heard of the game and if anybody had any experience with gameplay strategies or the like.

EDIT: Sins of a Solar Empire is a RTS game (it is like a new and much improved version of Empire Earth or Age of Empires). It is based it deep space. Each player will start out with a few resources (coin/gold, metal, crystal, fleet supply(how many ships you are allowed to have), and capital ship slots(how many capital ships you are allowed to have)) and with those resources they have to expand their territories and take over the galaxy. You can make a custom map with many planets and one star…. A few planets and a few stars… or many many planets and many stars…. The purpose of the game is to either destroy all civilizations and obtain all planets into your rule, become friends with some people and destroy the rest of the dudes, or become friends with everybody and destroy the pirates.

I suggest you to explain what sort of game it is, strategy, role playing...etc.

Main flaw = game speed limitations. Even on fastest game speed the game just seems too slow, and not from lag...just because it needs to be faster.

When you say that it is similar to AoE (my favorite game [AoE3 actually]), were you just giving an example of another RTS game, or is it really very similar to it? Because if it is, I think I'll check this game out..

It isn't similar to AoE. I'm assuming that was just another RTS example. If you ever played on ogame.org, that is what it is like to the extent of it being like a space fleet game.

You said it ... and in my opinion 4x RTS just means that it is 4x better.

if you think that's slow, I'm guessing www.ikariam.org is more slow, but it's way fun....after like 1 year, which is about how long I've been playing (world theta....)
