    It can be used to make long urls short without them breaking in messages

    Umm thanks.. there are loads of these types of sites. I think that most people are already aware of them. TinyURL is a very popular one.

    TinyURL is better because TinyURL is shorter than AlphaURL...

    AND you know tinyurl won't put any sh*t there, as it's really popular.

    TinyURL is better in my opinion, because they give you an option to check the site before visiting. (Only if you had it set to do so before clicking on the link).
    Just go on their site, and click "preview page before visiting" Or something similar... It's been awhile since I did it.
    It really helps against phishing and/or scams in general.
