    Default Switching from Vista x64 to XP x64..Drivers? - TViYH

    What drivers will I need?

    I'll be switching from:
    Windows Vista Home Premium x64
    to
    Windows XP Professional x64



    All help appreciated!

    All of them; if you're lucky, you might get a couple to work. I have no experience with the x64 flavors of XP, but Vista and onward use a very different driver model, so any drivers made for x64 Vista will probably not work with x64 XP.

    Why the move? I'd recommend windows 7 over XP x64 if at all possible. Better compatibility, stability, and probably not much difference in speed, either. And then you have the improved UI features, security, etc..

    Ummm none..... 64 bit installation of XP is pretty good on the drivers as long as you have and do a clean install of XP. If you dual boot you could come into some complications if you don't partition correctly.

    Windows 7 isn't on the microsoft website no more http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ if you read. Only way to get it is through torrent or fileshare servers like rapidshare by the way the newest version is Microsoft Windows 7 Build 7057 dat is better than the 7000 build. If you need help for were to get it pm me.
