    No its fine... i see msn, anti virus, google... its all normal... anything using a network connection will show in there when you call /netstat

    AFAIK you can't ddos someone unless they are running a server...

    you can just guess. pick the most common open ports. Gimme your ip and ill prove it to ya :P

    Or you can do a port scan on the IP address :P Ubuntu comes with the tools already installed
