AS IN, purposely put an error in our scripts. That way, people will be forced to learn a small amount of our language.
What about just in the free for all scripts section?
This is against the rules (I think), unfortunately.

This will just frusterate people and make more people leave the community. We want to keep SCAR/SRL alive, not make it work only for scripters. People can contribute without knowing how to script at all; by testing scripts and giving the scripters feedback.
I don't understand why people think that it's such a terrible thing for people to come here to use scripts but not learn to script... I did that for my first few months of autoing.

We scripters, make scripts for other people, to help them with macoring. I really don't care if everyone knows exactly what every line does, as long as they enjoy using my script.
And the same as JAD posted, didn't we all start as leachers? I did. Using pentti's multi miner like crazy, until I decided to make my own
So no, I don't think we should put errors in good working scripts.
I leeched for a month or so, but posted proggies sometimes. Then a script I used broke, and it was a simple fix, so I asked around and got help to fix it, and that started my career. I guess I was abnormal, in only starting to script because I had to.
I just liked it so much after the first adventure of finding bugs that I kept at it and eventually made my own scripts.
its the easyest thing and the first thing to learn in scipting, and i did it for ages, just delete line which dont work (some times works)
if you make a script which needs some changing; but you tell the user it needs changing before they download it. i belive this would be fine. any one argue with this?
Did someone say GDK?
Guys guys, I don't mean hard things! Just syntax errors. EG:
findcolour
proc3dure
etc..
What inspired me was the numerous amount of "SMART" errors. Things where you have to change it to EX and list a number..or...you know...find the syntax yourself..(WORK! NO WAI!)
what if we setup an area where we paste some small scripts with purpose errors, then let ppl solve them (if they want) for an intellectual challenge..
