Agree one hundred percent. Until 4chan is outro, nothing is controllable.

Not suprising, it's the next logical step in the government controlling every part of our daily lives. Predicted it a few years ago
Pretty easy for them to shut down 4chan too, once they convince the general population that internet regulation is for their "best interests". Which is also gonna be pretty easy - they'll be using scare tactics like "it encourages terrorism and child porn" to get the majority's support and before you know it it'll be completely regulated.
Good thing is, as long as theres tor there will be a uncensored source of information. Dunno if they'll be able to prevent tor and other such networks though, but in the end they'll find a way.

Because a person is smart, but people are idiots. And the US Govt. consists of a whole lot of people.

I was talking about the entirety of the government, not just individual pieces. If the entirety of the government can't do anything, that means something is horribly, horribly wrong.

And you have to admit, there are a lot of idiots in the government.

I would've expected seeing something like this come from Bush after seeing Die Hard 4(?)..

And if /b/ became a problem Obama could just have moot (the admin if I remember correctly, not obsessed with the site so sry if I'm wrong) killed.

well technicaly they could only take over websites hosted on american hosting companies right? if something like that did happen im sure all those companies would just create branches in other countries where there were no laws and slowly pull there money outta USA so if the government did crack down on the internet they wouldnt lose so much money.
