Well, it'd still only work natively under Windows.

Good luck finding/wrapping a recent Gecko/Chromium for OP then And also there's the compatibility between resource names, etc..

Is the source available for some other person more talented than myself to pick up the project if the original author doesn't care to update it?

About Simba: I don't recall FPC having the TWebBrowser like Delphi has, so it's not possible to compile the source in FPC for Simba. FPC does have support for for WebKit and Gecko, but the current Appa source wont be of much help to create a version with such an engine. (so it's not a matter of updating, it's more a matter of upgrading).

    I get this in SCAR:
    Type: Compiling Error
    Line: 1
    File:
Message: Unable to register type TAppaElement
There used to be something meaningful here.

Not been many replies in 2 months :|. Tis a shame, great plugin.

Though, I'm curious... How exactly do I use the proxy command?

I mean, I understand the first 2 variables... but what is the ByPass:String; variable at the end of it?

I've configured my computer to have the Tor proxy setup which allows me to have multiple IP addresses overtime... so I do something like this.

    Appa_SetProxy('127.0.0.1',8118,'')

Though what's the last variable for? I know the first 2 are right because I'm using them in my browser right now.

The ByPass variable is to list sites/domains (separated by a semicolon) you don't want to use a proxy for (like "*.villavu.com;www.google.com"). I'm not sure how to use it with Tor. If Tor acts like your proxy on localhost, port 8118, I guess that should work?

And thanks, Home! That should make it easier for people to write scripts

    That's the idea yes.

Though, when I have appa connect through the tor proxy I am using successfully on a number of my other browsers, and programs... each page in appa comes back as notfound/can't be displayed.. as if I didn't have any internet connection at all .

    Why is this?

I don't think it's very easy, as TWebBrowser isn't available in Lazarus. If I'd use the Delphi version, there would probably be incompatibilities with the string parameters. So no, most likely not going to happen

You should just try loading it in Simba - it may just work.
