Default melee v.s. range v.s. mage

out of melee range and mage..what do u think is the easyest to level, most effective damage, cheapest to use,and is better for the over all game i.e. quests, mini games, pking

cheapest, easiest to train and best for pking (as far as f2p is concerned) is Strength. Magic is pretty fast and easy to auto aswell, while range is a bitch.

But range is heavily used because of the ability to wear chaps, and at P2P use Rune c'bows to hit like 35's regularly.

If I was you, I would just go for range. It is a chore but in the end it works out best for P2P

mage is good when your under level 30 and can hit fire blasts. But the max you can hit with magic in f2p is 21, whereas in streangth you can hit to the high 40's

Range is the easiest to level hands down, and in terms of pvp, D bow spec, d arrows .. BOOOM double 48 (at 99 ofc)

I do 85 ranged and then switch 99 stength eventually for my F2p (Miner that became a Pker)

I hit 16s with ranged and KO around 29s+ with R2H. Its easy to do and prayer switching is easier with the implements added to the game recently. (easy prayers)

I agree, I think that would be your best bet. Plus, in P2P there's a lot of awesome range gear (IMO anyway). TBH range is my favorite combat skill, don't even ask why, cause I really don't know.

As for mage, it's good for many non-combat related things. It's always good to have high mage, but not for combat.

    Cheers.
