    amd chips are not fail
    intel fail
She is expected to rule that Intel abused its dominance of the microchip market to bully its customers into buying only its chips in the hope of squeezing Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), its nearest competitor, out of the market.

The European Commission alleges that Intel offered its customers, such as Hewlett Packard and Dell, special deals if they signed up to massive orders, which its far smaller rival AMD would have been unable to compete against.

The original 48-page colourfully worded law suit filed by AMD in 2005 alleged that Intel had "resorted to old-fashioned threats, intimidation and kneecapping" to build its near monopoly in the market for x86 microprocessors, the chips that run personal computers. AMD has already successfully convinced competition authorities in Japan and South Korea to rule against Intel. Intel is appealing against the Japanese ruling.

Under European legislation Ms Kroes could fine Intel up to 10pc of the company's annual revenue which, based on sales of $37.6bn (£24.5bn) last year, could result in a maximum fine of almost $4bn.

    amd ftw!

Intel wins in anything < $150 or > $300. For the procs in between, you get better bang for your buck with AMD.

Wow... Half of the money goes to Microsoft... If there was only a way to order it without Windows.

I've always used Intel, but I don't think AMD is bad.

    Nooo!

    Don't do it!
    It's a trap!

HP customer support is about the worst possible: EVERYONE is Indian, you can't understand them, and they can't even fix a computer.

They purposely unplugged the main power cord on the motherboard and tried to charge me like $300 to fix it...

    HP fails...

Custom IS better (RAM is cheap, I have 4 gigs but 32 bit OS).
PM me if you need any help with math.
I can try to help you with anything!
