Epic series.
It really was a shame that each game seemed different to the others though - it was never just the same game, but better. They tried new things, some of which worked like in RCT2, and some that didn't, like in RCT3. I remember first getting RCT ages ago and playing it so intensively - I still love making the go-kart tracks that just completely own all other rides in nearly all ways, though making several simultaneous launching rollercoaster was pretty kick ass as well.
SimCity 2k was also a great game, but I found that the newer ones were generally better as it went along by giving more control over everything and as a God-game, it made it more fun. The only problem was that it had such a steep learning curve that it took me a long time to be able to make a city that continued to generate cash.
