    Default Leaving for the Summer

Figured it was time for this guys. I'll be leaving for about 8 weeks on this Saturday. I'll be gone till sometime around August 1st. I'm going to work on staff at a church camp near Jefferson City, Missouri. I'll see the forums occasionally on weekends but other than that I'll be gone. Hope you all have a great summer and I'll see you in August.

Ugh, why waste your Summer working for the church?

Well, have fun anyways, whatever rocks your boat.

Then you don't know about it since that's 5 years ago.(if you are 14).

No, but there's a good chance for things to change in a 5 year period.

Ugh. People on the forums are getting way out of hand. You don't know everything. You don't know how other people feel. You don't know what's best for anyone. If you hate it you can still say 'Have fun, man!'. I mean really. Is it that hard for you to think about others?

Anyway, I went to one last summer and it was extremely fun, even though I don't really follow Christianity that much.

Have fun! :] See you soon, hopefully. ^^

You people have a different attitude then me. You guys see it as. "Church camp...", I see it as "Church camp!!!". I get to spend the entire summer serving God and working will all my closest friends. For me, that is the climax of fun.

    Guys, be respectful.

What is fun for you may not be fun for him. And it appears it's vice versa as well.

Bob, not to be a synic, but wouldn't going to a camp where you are payed be a more... Economically friendly idea?

Eh, most church camps can't really afford to pay the people who help out.

    Have a great time bob!

Mines only 5 days also and its more of a soccer camp/VBS

Still lots of fun to work at.

And for all of the above who are trying to bash Bob, why post? It is was Bob enjoys doing and atleast he is doing more than sitting in from of a computer screen all summer. Leave bob and his recreational activity decisions up to him, it has no affect on you so show some respect for him!

Occasionally the camp will get donations and say to split it up between the staff.

Yeah, I'm going on staff which is why I'm staying so long. Every week we get new campers.

Thanks Hobbit. I'll be glad to see you when you get back. When do you have that soccer/VBS thing?
