EDIT: It has come to my attention that this may not be relevant to ALL PC users as some laptop's e.g Toshiba, Dell's and Sony's have the 'Prnt Scrn' key already on their keyboard. Although, some PC's like Compaq and Acer do not, so this thread is still useful. The title says "How to take a screen-shot on a laptop" so I'm not going to mislead you guy's with the 'Prnt Scrn' key. This guide should help anyone with that key: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screen...rosoft-Windows
Hey guy's what's Crankin' it's Bro here.
OK let's get straight into it... Taking a screen-shot on a laptop is simple and of course free. Normally, for a PC with a keyboard port there's a button located somewhere at the top called 'Prnt Scrn', BUT, on a laptop they don't include itWHAT WILL WE DO!?!?
Fortunately, there's a short & simple way to take a screenie with these few steps:
1. Look down the bottom left-hand corner of your keyboard, in between the 'ctrl' and the 'Microsoft symbol'(Start button), there will be a key that says: '[Fn]' and another key in the top right-hand corner of the keyboard that says: '[sys rq]' (It's the same key as 'delete')
2. Now that you are familiar with the keys, pick something on your screen you wish to capture. Once ready, hit them both together then let go. Simple.
3. Now, presuming you have Microsoft paint, open it up and paste the shit out of it (Ctrl+v). It should appear in front of your eye's in a flash.
4. Congratulations! You have taken a free Screen-Shot using your laptopNo program's needed
. Now it's up to you whether or not you save it. If you didn't like the pic, you can always take another one with the same procedure.
Thanks for listening, Hope I helped.
