agreed. This is something ive heard/seen before but given by a better advocate. There was a movie or something on the internet our teacher showed us (he is obsessed with conspiracy), wasted 3 classes in bio watching it. It makes you think, i mean either way though, c02 emissions is fucking up the planet.

I actually yelled at my computer, I wanted to know what that graph said, but instead Glen Beck was going "I know, I get it". It was rediculously rude.

First of all, Fox News is the most idiotic news source around. Despite that, I don't believe global warming can be controlled or is caused my humans.

Yeah, I like Glenn Beck, but he does have a habit of interrupting people.

Anyways, why would the EPA turn this down? Anything can be answered with common sense by simply following the money. If global warming is proven to be false, then the scientists studying it will lose their jobs and have to research something else (if they can find something else to research). That is why they still have to use fear tactics yelling "WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!". Also, the government likes this because it gives them excuses to create new taxes on companies emitting too much CO2. They are even going to tax farmers for each cow they have because cows release too much CO2. Ugh...

That is fact that the earth is cooling based on the temperatures given by the graph provided by our satellites and the other one. We're already below what the UN predicts will happen if we don't change something now, and we're even below what they say could happen if we reduce carbon emissions.

    Where's the argument against this?

Are you serious? I'm pretty sure it's because of humans... There's enough proof of that around.

There seems to be enough proof that it's not caused by humans. In fact, the globe isn't warming at all based on our satellites and service station monitors, it's cooling. Check the first post

Actually Wizzup? I have a feeling you would be surprised how many scientists believe otherwise. Not to mention a lot of the people who were "Experts" were in fields like Optometry, in fact my parents and I were talking about this while eating dinner. If you would like I should be able to get my Dad to send me some links for proof/specifics. Not to mention, the dude in the video said otherwise thanks to his independent research.

What all this is, is a power grab. You see, imposing all these taxes will tank the economy, a lot of people will be gaining from the government dole. Those people who are on the dole, will like where they are at as they dont have to work, on the other end of the spectrum the ones who are working and supporting the ones who dont work will be barely surviving, and the ones not working/paying taxes will not care about how high taxes are, basically buying votes for the democratic party. Some thing with illegal aliens, the democrats dont care about the people, they want to basically buy votes and to let the illegals vote that is why they dont want people to need any identification to vote, also increasing the ease of voter fraud as well. In my opinion it is very calculated, and has been in motion since FDR. Reagan/Bush Sr/Jr set them back a bit but Carter/Clinton/Obama with the help of people like Gore, Pelosi, Reed, ect have been able to get us to this point, and are indeed on the cusp of what they want, which is power, forever, no matter what the cost.

this is an outrage. Imagine all the government wasted money that could be used to NOT fire the best teacher at my school (he got pink-slipped).

    1. Tax money for the carbon emissions on companies
    2. the jobs these scientists have that don't exist

that would be a sh*t-load of money every year that the gov. and the people would save

i don't like that news ainchor (sp?). he kept on interrupting the guy :\

I should point out you guys are falling into a logical fallecy called circumstantial ad hominem It is the way some of you say "Well he would say that, he is a scientist" and "He's a member of the government, he only wants to tax us"

The beauty of evidence is that it stands up on its own, it doesnt matter who says it.

If a five year old girl came up to you and presented the evidence, it should be no less convincing (I use the word "should" because obviously in practise it wont happen)

I'm not exactly sure if I believe in global warming that much, saw some documentary (too bad I can't remember what it was called) that showed tons of evidence that it's not caused by humans.. Global warming is also such a huge political deal, and that makes me take it less seriously too.

How can we be doing that when we agree with a guy from the EPA who is saying differently than the agency he works for?

Exactly. Al Carlin just demonstrated evidence based on the temperatures of the earth (I don't think that the temperatures of the earth are his opinion, they are fact) that proves that the earth isn't even getting warmer. How does anything you just posted help your case that global warming is real, when the earth is clearly declining in temperature?

But if a five year old girl and Stephen Hawking came up to you and presented conflicting evidence about black holes, which do you trust?
