Default Need fast help with pc accounts thingy

so me and my brother share this computer and he is just freakin crazy about downloading EVERY rap song there is on the net and his folder is atm 60GB so I'm pissed as hell right now.

anyhu, I wana format BUT I wanted to check if it is possible to do like this after format : I make 2 accounts, and then lets say the HDD on my pc is 500GB, and then I want each account ONLY to get 50% of the total, meaning 250GB, and I also dont want any of his crapy programs getting into my account..

    Possible?
Siggy is out, sry fellas :/

Right click on your folder, and set security permissions.

If you both are administrators, then it's pointless (since administrators can just override each other).
PM me if you need any help with math.
I can try to help you with anything!

Porn is to be watched online, and I want a way from preventing the files to be on all accounts, not to hide one on my own account..

    Offtopic: STREAMING FTW.

NiiX: Disable writing permissions for other users, make your folder read-only.

I agree and Im not talking about a single folder over here!!!!!!!

Im talking about making it so that the files on MY account WONT go over to HIS account!!!

Programs and mp3 files always seem to be in the other one aswell, thats what I wana prevent..

I use Program Protector for my apps..

Partition your hard drive. Its like 2 computers in one. Youll just have to burn a cd of this one program and have a operating system installation cd.

How would you switch from one to another?

When the computer is started, it asks you which one you want to boot up.

Both Windows and Linux handle formatting and partitioning by default, along with setting up the boot devices so that you have the boot menu where you can boot from one or the other partition.

Shouldn't be that hard, Ubuntu has a GUI interface for the above, and Windows is just making two different partitions out of your HDDs from the setup menu, installing onto one. Then, installing the other on the non installed partition. Should be pretty easy if you have a default understanding of anything. Hell, just paying attention and not being completely inept at the situation would probably even work.
