Default Market Crash in the GE

Bad timing has caused a market crash. The market was at its highest value the day of the update. Since most autoing isn't possible until its patched up, a lot of resources are becoming harder to obtain. This popped the market bubble and the crash started last night.

I love how the autoers actually keep RS alive.

What prices are you talking about? I can't see any difference in the prices :/

    EDIT: Iron ore: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/viewitem.ws?obj=440
EDIT2: May not be the bots that caused this: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/viewi...bj=440&scale=2

If you look at the graphs a lot of items are going up sharp then started dropping the day after the update. It starts our settle but its going to go down again. Some items already dropped 100k.

Reminds me of the essprice crash two years ago, with the bankscreen/varrock update.
(For those of you who don't remember: reg ess used to be like 25gp-30gp, then SRL went down for two weeks together with Wizzup's essminer, which caused an influx of ess raising to the 50gp ea.)
I made a new script, check it out!.

I don't think this is bots causing this. If you are talking about things like godswords, dfs's, etc. then it is because the update about bounty hunter drop not giving them as reward drops.

So what your saying is there were tons of resources because of autoers and then when RS updates, they were harder to obtain and the prices went down? Shouldnt the prices go up if they are harder to obtain??
Yes I know autoers supply most of RS's main resources if you were wondering what I was thinking about.

Kinda weird though.. Do autoers really sell the goods on the same day they made them?
AFAIK, you spare your goods up and sell them like once in a month, or something.. So it shouldn't be update-related?

    Well not really

IF you have thousands of autoers selling goods once a month then theres bound to be someone selling resources daily.

Theres probably someone once a week
selling like REAL High amounts of resources from over a month of autoing.(Not the same person every week, different autoers) which also helps the price drop. But when a big update comes, the prices of the resources will drop because bots arent up to date yet.

I remember one time, Flax was like 110 - 120gp , (before ge, it was the street price) and then there was a point that it dropped like incredibly ( i forgot if it was during ge or before), it went to like 65.

Uhhh, that isn't a crash. A crash is when a item drops a substantial amount. And afaik, no items are crashing unless they are being manipulated. All items are raising due to hyper inflation* caused by the new PvP drops. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Gran...e_Market_Watch

    * not truly hyper inflation yet, but there is definitely a lot of inflation happening.

Well, I don't know any scripts that sell there goods automatically to the GE.. So people would have to sell the goods themself.... And when is the best time to sell goods on your autoer, when it's not possible to auto.. So maybe more goods get sold after an update?

Just came back to runescape after about 4 months... So if this is true, should I be selling everything and waiting a couple of days to make a quick bit of cash?

Just a note: I think it's RSBot being down causing this, not SRL.

I hope RSBot stays dows a long, long time, so legit players can feel the pain I wonder if RSBot is still doing those riots...If so, they better be letting legit players know why the prices are up, then they can let them know when they're back down why it is so.

Hey, maybe we should start something like that so legit players aren't so adamantly against bots?

EDIT: Not advertise SRL, but advertise that bots are down after the update, that's why prices are up. Check this world + location every day for botting updates. The news source on bots for the legits?

Did no one read my post? Right now is a bad time to be trying to decide between the causes of the price raises as not only are RSbot taking hits but there is also a lot of inflation happening through the new PvP drops. These PvP drops are bringing in 500-3m a hour per PERSON doing 26king. As far as a lot of people are concerned, there is no reason to do conventional money making as long as 26king exists.

That is true. So much people have money to spend. Not enough items. So after the update the bots died (no more goods) for a while, and BAM g.e got fucked.

Thats right, the most you can get from 100% EP is four drops and to get back up to 100EP you have to wait in hot zone for 2 hours. So its not entirely efficient.
