I've tried Vista on several of my machines and it just feels like a beta.
As for your Superfetch argument, if it allocated the memory quick enough it'd be a decent idea, but it just didn't work. Hell my application loading time was HUGEE on Vista as for XP, seconds.
I run a dual core at a clock speed of around 3.7-3.8 ghz, 9800GT, and 4GB of RAM and it runs a treat..
TF2 FPS is around 180+ on XP where as it was a dismal 90FPS on Vista, boot up times were sluggish, and shut downs were rarely successful, and i usually ended up returning to my PC after work to find my electricity bill was skied because my pc hadnt shut down and had just been running for 12 hours straight.
Thanks vista, ill forward the bill
My vista experience was god awful and I hated it.
I've ran it on my laptop aswell and same applys really, I think it was a shoddy incomplete Operating system that felt like it had so much potential but it just wasn't done properly whatsoever..
However!
Windows 7 on the other hand.. is just..
Well.. Vista meets XP and its just perfect![]()
