Even if you have donated it's not automatic, you need to wait.

Thank you for the donation, it didn't go unnoticed.
The reason we have set a limit for the avatar is because we've actually had people donate 1 dollarcent to get the avatar. It is important that the avatar has some sort of status, and becomes semi-rare.
