    Default New Computer :D

OK, well my mum is bringing home a computer from work that she is giving to me!
All I know is that it is 64bit.
I want to know, what is different between 32 bit and 64 bit?
    And which is better?
I will give more info in like 30 mins
That when she is coming home!

Eh, what she probably means by 64-bit is that it's just capable of 64 bit, which is actually quite common these days.

    Anyways enjoy.

Not bad for a free computer I guess. Certainly nothing special though.

Pretty good it's near my pc.

    Amd athlon x2 64 4850e ~ 2.5ghz
    4gb ram.

It should do good, just throw atleast 2-3gb of ram and if you want more then install 64 bit OS, otherwise stick to 32 bit.

It single core though I think
I might sell it and my other Desktop which has like 1.5gb ram and 600gb HD.
    And then buy a beast.
But I might get someone in USA to get it sent to them then get them to send to me =/

    My PC is...

    Intel 2.4ghz quad-core
    2 gigs of 800mhz ram
    250gb HDD
    geforce 9800 GT

the difference between 64 bit and 32 bit is that 64 bit uses 2x as much RAM, and is capable of storing 2x the information in each little pocket of information of RAM, but for most applications its useless and is actually a waste of memory. I'm probably gonna go 64 bit when I get 4gb of ram, because 2gb imho is too little for 64bit if you're a gamer who multitasks a shit load using intense memory apps

by the way i see you're interesting in building a PC, i'd suggest you use tigerdirect, it's much better than newegg, and if you need any help PM me, i've built 10+ computers for myself and friends.

The Man, if you want NewEgg for canada, you get NewEgg.ca

Other than that, I don't think there is anything else.

what about tigerdirect, do they ship internationally?

EDIT: just looked on their website, and they do ship internationally, so if you wanted to order a pc or pc parts from there then you could.
