You don't want to know. But if I have to guess, I'd say around 24 hours spread out over a couple weeks.

Thanks, I can't wait to see it, do me a favor and PM me when you post it. That way I can see what you made using my guide, and give you a few pointers if I need to.

    Cheers, Coh3n

many thanks for all the hard work on this tutorial and the scripts i have seen posted by you. i am reading everything i can and going through all the scripts i have seem posted to try to learn enough to dive into the process myself.

had thought about using reflection but then after reading posts it seems to be a bit of a pain for the devs to update with all the RS updates. so deciding to skip that and try to learn using just SCAR and SLR so things more likely to work.

It's great to see that you're learning! If there is something that's unclear about my tutorial, you can always add me on MSN and ask. To be quite honest, I would recommend learning color scripting, before reflection.

Once you have mastered color, reflection is a breeze to learn, but it does challenge you to make longer and more complicated scripts. At least that's how I feel.

    Good luck!

thanks for the advice. what i had noticed from all the tutorials i have been reading is that the progression you mention is about the only way to learn it properly. been having fun trying out some really basic scripts but am trying to build up a mental image of everything that SCAR and SLR already do so i don't end up coding a bone-head custom version of something that is already out there.

Yeah, I think it's the best way to learn. That's why I wrote this guide. When I learn new things myself, I always find it much easier to learn really easy things, and then gradually get more difficult. It makes everything easier, and that was my main objective when writing this tutorial.
