    Default Words Per Minute!

So today I went to my Computer Applications class, and we did some stupid WPM thing. The teacher was going on about how you had to use home row to get the fastest typing speed. I used an awerb ,op[] home row, left/right hands respectively, and type 114 words per minute 100% accuracy burst, and average 88. The teacher averages 70~ wpm.

    Long story short:

I don't do what she wants me to and am better at it.

So, what's your best WPM with 100% accuracy, burst and average?

Lol, noidea, the first time I took a typing class was in grade nine. By then I was typing faster than the teachers -.-. I only took it because it was mandatory. It was horrible. Two kids (a friend and I) always finished before the teacher was done the tutorial. Seriously, I had to bring Warcraft to school xD.

85 Average around 100 max here (home row) according to www.RankMyTyping.com

My first typing class was in about grade 4, though it didn't help much, playing Runescape (legit at the time), proved to be a better teacher

I don't know what my "burst" is but on the two minute timings I used to get 105-110 WPM. Five minute timings for me were usually 95-100. My fastest two minute timing was 121 WPM All my timings were 100% accuracy without looking at my hands.

Too much time on the computer... I ended up getting a 116% in keyboarding class though, lol.

That is not to say that you couldn't be faster if you learned to use the normal home row.

On that typing test I got 72 WPM, but I type wayy faster than that.
On that test there were like capitals in names and such, I don't do those.

I took typing class in like grade 6 or 7, I was doing like 100 WPM.
It's gotten much better probably cause I talk on MSN a lot.

Edit: did it again and got 92. This is fun
    Edit: 98 yeahhhh!

i think i hit 125 max back in freshmen year in Keyboarding class. i can probably hit more than 125+ now.

Was fastest typer in my class. Teacher got mad at me cause i use to type in my own method and not listen to her like, to place my fingers on the home row(my dad uses that and he's been in computers quiiite a long time and he's all proper and not too fast lol.)
When ever i get a chance ill play the game and tell you what i can hit now.

and btw idk if i was 100% accurate. i doubt i was i probably mis-spelled about 2-4 words.

I might be faster, but I'll never know. I try to use home row sometimes, but I'm used to throwing my hands around the keyboard, so it always feels weird when I do.

My left hand types 3/4 of the keyboard, my left index types the other 1/4, except enter, backspace, and shift, which is my pinky, middle/ring, and pinky, respectively.

You don't need to type very fast if you use a powerful editor.

Wow, i suck at that typing thing I got like 50% and 56%. Once you press space it goes to the next word and you cant do anything about it. Also you have to be reading and typing at the same time. If I am typing my own thoughts or something that I don't need to read from (if someone is dictating me me or something), then I can type much faster and ususally at close to 100% accuracy.
