Default Jailbreaking an Ipod Touch Gen #2.

Firstly, I was reading around, and searching what Jailbreaking does, but everyone says something diffirent and the time when that post or writing was made is old. So i want to ask the SRL Community (more trustfull xD).

    Questions:
    1. What are the benefits of Jailbreaking an ipod touch?
    2. If anyone has done it before, what guide did you use?
    3. Is it worth it?

    Thanks .

My answers from gathering from google:
    1. Free apps, able to play gameboy games on ipod, you can customize your ipod.
    2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFEk_nt4ZtM
    3. Yes but risky.

Am i correct, and is question 2. the best way of jailbreaking or what?

I have never done it before, but the risks are high, from my understanding. You have to make sure your willing to accept the complications that come with attempting this. But if you do it right and use a good tutorial (CANT FIND ONE ATM ) then nothing should go wrong.

    There's no risks involving jailbreaking.
You fuck up, restore and retry.

I jailbroken my 1st gen over 20 times cuz I installed some lame package.
Point is, you cannot ruin it.

There is a slight risk involved. If your iPod locks up in a way that prevents the computer from registering it while it's jailbroken, you can't send it back to Apple.

Huh. From what I understood, if you sent it back in such a state they'd charge you for it, since you would have voided your warranty.

Thats accutally really interesting, I really do like the features Jailbreaking has it just makes your iPod unique. Only wish i had that ZIP file above without torrenting.

Yes, but they should be able to tell even without you saying anything. Unless, of course, your iPod is so fully messed up that all the data is gone.
