    Red face Floating text

    Hi, this might be stupid or all ready answered but i cannot find it.

    The floating text i am talking about is the text that is shown when you are coding, for example MoveMouse( it will show what identifiers/input its after.

    i get this text for the built in code but not for Mouse() and so on, all the SRL stuff.

    how do i get this back? i have reinstalled scar and SRL and still nothing.

    any ideas

    Put:
    SCAR Code:
    {.include srl/srl.scar}
    at the top of the script and it should bring them back.

    They are broken in the last few scar release. I don't know since when. But they are broken in the latest. A bit annoying.
    As far as I know.

    I'm pretty sure you can also press (Ctrl + Space) to show the functions parameters.

    For me it's most likely just a space. Not like before.
    But that's not a big problem. I just look up the functions in the include.
    Takes a bit more time. Or the manual.

    What you can do, is save this:
    SCAR Code:
    program New;
    {.include SRL/SRL.scar}
    begin
    end.
    as the default script. Then, close and reopen SCAR. The text should come back then.

    I got that set for ages. (okay I'm not even here for ages but you get it)
    So me and he are the only one this not working?
    I remember I have read it from others too.

    I dunno, but that works for me. I'm using SCAR 3.21 if it makes a difference.

    The same things happen to me, some functions work, some don't. To be quite honest it's rather annoying. What I do is just find that function in the includes folders. This allows me to get used to where all the functions are in case I need to look at them for whatever reason. I also get too see all the different functions available to use.

    I would recommend doing the latter. You learn a lot just from looking through the SRL functions.

    Code hints don't work on the new 3.15b as well. They work for some hardcoded functions inside SCAR but rarely for SRL for some reason. Probably something todo with the include system.
