    Yes.
Just make a new thread, plug every thing you have so far in there and then delete the old one. Because most likely your old tutorial thread's title isn't on the lines of "ALL IN ONE SRL...".

Cuppers are eligible for the 4 month member ship and the monthly pins (Main competition).

In theory, a person that enters the main competition can win 7 month membership plus the account (Person with a cup can win everything but the account).

a person that enters the sub competition can win 3 month membership.

]Also all the informations are too crammed together.
    For example:
In one post, cho3n talked about the wizzup plugin, then moved directly on to auto color. Those to topics were unrelated, it could've taken only 1 post (Its a lot better to have nice, short and well explained post rather than a long and crammed post, that will just confuse and scare new scripters).
Organize your tutorials with the post, make a post about a group related functions, then the next post about another group of related functions*

Also, there are some parts of his tutorial that could've been explained in-a-bit-simpler-way. Sometimes I even have trouble understanding some concepts.

    *Final note*
I don't hate coh3n's tutorial, he has put HUGE AMOUNT of efforts into his AWSOME tutorial. But due to the recent start of the school, he had to cram his tutorial into a few weeks.
Which is why this contest will extend over TWO FULL MONTH. Because I don't want the contestants to rush, take your time...~More will be added tomorrow
    [/CENTER]
I didn't cram it into a couple weeks, that's just how long it took me. I tried to be as clear as I could, if something was unclear I asked people to post about it so I could improve on it, so everyone could understand it clearly.

I worked really hard on that, and if someone was to cover EVERYTHING about SCAR and SRL I would praise them. You said that that guide lacked examples. Could you explain where? I'm almost positive that I used an example for every new concept I introduced. If I missed one, or one is unclear, I'd like to know which. ^.^

I have to go now, but I have more comments, I'll edit this post later.

    Thanks,

    Coh3n

Yea, i pretty much learned everything from that tut, i thought it was great, especially with the examples. That was were all the learning was almost.
Let me be the one to say, good job Coh3n! I appreciate all the time you spent on this under-appreciated tutorial!

I meant example with sample script. Some examples were a bit ambiguous.

Lol, thanks very much! But there is a lot of different things I plan on eventually expanding on and adding in, but that probably wont be for months!

That's the point. It's suppose to be open for interpretation and have many different possibilities to use the concepts. It wouldn't be much of a tutorial if it just showed one way of doing everything. That is why I tried to use as many different things in as many different ways as I could. For variety, and so people can use their imagination!

Also, what do you mean by "sample script"? Do you mean having the example functions inside a sample script?

    Thanks,

    Coh3n

EDIT: Since I rambled on off topic, I should say something relevant. If this competition gets big enough, you should think about talking to a mod/admin (or whoever can give cups), and see if it's possible to have the Tutorial Writer's Cup as a reward for those who don't have it already. Just a thought, but seeing as there's a cup for winning a scripting competition, why not this one eh?

That is only SCAR basics and how to setup srl / SCAR.

24 pages in word so far

So, I don't really understand this sub competition. Say I submit a third of my tutorial. Basically a complete section on Basics, but name my thread like Everything in one Tutorial. If I improve it a lot the next month, I can win the sub-competition?

Do you mind explaining it a little more please ?

In the sub comp, you have to explain something like "how to chop down a tree using ATPAs" in great detail or something like that.

The sub competition is basically make a short and really awsome tutorial focused on 1 subject.

You CAN'T enter both competitions. only 1.

I was thinking about something a couple days ago, and haven't been able to post it until now. But I was reading about people talking about making specific tutorials such as "How to fish using TPAs", or along those lines. I think this is a bad idea. Sure, it will show people how to make their own scripts, but they can easily just copy the tutorial without really knowing what they're doing.

If we have a tutorial for every specific thing, there will no longer be any unique scripts from newer users. Not to mention the amount of members applications that will pop up, all with the same basic script that came from a bunch of different tutorials. This is exactly why I tried not to give too much away in my tutorial. I want people to still be able to use their imagination and think for their selves, and really understand what they are doing.

If we make tutorials on so many things, then it's just too easy. I guarantee there will be people who use a series of tutorial functions and put them together and call it their own script. This isn't hard to do, even if you have no idea what you are doing.

Also, I don't remember who said it, but I remember reading something about not having enough tutorials on the forums. To be honest, there has got to be a tutorial for almost everything. Even if there isn't one specifically for a certain subject, there's one close, and newcomers need to think to achieve what they want.

Hopefully someone who reads this knows what I mean. Don't get me wrong, it's great that people want to make tutorials and help other people out, but wouldn't it be much better to track the people down that have already made a similar tutorial, and improve on that one instead of making ten of the same?

Sorry if any of that made no sense, but hopefully someone gets it.

    Thanks,

    Coh3n

    Lol, sorry!

The point was that if there is a specific tutorial for EVERYTHING, then new scripting don't have to learn anything. All they would have to do is copy different tutorials into one script, and call it their own.
