    What if we develop a use for the radioactive waste? A lot of stuff was not useful until we found ways to exploit it.

    Prostitution ftw! Its a shame we cant use women to create energy, instead they just sap all of men's money...

    As for batteries, the current electric cars have a rough efficiency of 65 percent of getting the power to the motor assuming it cost nothing to make the power (using a reusable power source, ie...your power plant isnt using combustion), whereas hydrogen has an overall efficiency of 64% so i think they're fairly equal in that sense.
    The basic system is, for electric cars:
    electricity -> motor;
    for hydrogen fueled cars:
    electricity -> hydrogen -> electricity -> motor;
    So I would be quite interested as to how they managed to produce hydrogen and then convert back with only 1% loss

    If you're also involving the loss from battery charging into it, then I find your point redundant as batteries can be improved "easily", where as conversion to hydrogen cannot.
    By reading this signature you agree that mixster is superior to you in each and every way except the bad ways but including the really bad ways.

    HydroPower
    Water goes through the dam and there are turbines in there which the water will turn thus creating energy.

    Wind
    Wind can make energy by the windmills containing turbines and making them spin.

    SolarPower
    Solar panels can absorb the sunlight and turn it into energy, this can only be done when the sun is shining.

    Nuclear
    You can use it to make an extreme amount of heat, which will boil massive amounts of water to make a lot of steam(which goes and pushes the turbines).

    Fossil Fuels
    Fuels formed in the ground from the remains of dead plants and animals. It takes millions of years to form fossil fuels. Oil, natural gas, and coal are fossil fuels.

    GeoThermal
    Power extracted from heat stored in the earth.
    Ethanol (check spelling) also can cause blindness when burnt, and repository problems, and is highly flamable, to name but a few
    Did someone say GDK?

    not so. i shall elaborate later...actually i think both estimates were too high. The power plant to fuel for hydrogen is like 22 and i think electric is 20% though getting an estimate for electric is more difficult.
